I worked with Matt at Salmon Bay Physical Therapy after I developed recurring Achilles tendon pain. Since I've had this issue for years, I started to wonder if I wouldn't be able to (or shouldn't) keep running. I was disappointed about that but also kind of resigned to that outcome. Matt quickly reassured me that with a little work I'd get better. He pointed out a few issues I had with ankle flexibility, discussed how your foot should move when running, and taught me some strengthening exercises. The sessions showed me how to get better, and restored my confidence that running was do-able. After only three sessions I'm back and smarter about how to take care of my body. Having seen PTs at the major hospitals and at another group in Seattle, I appreciate the service that Matt provided -- better than everywhere else.
